Born in Colombia in 1994, she has been painting from a young age and has used her art as a medium to express the emotions she has experienced throughout her life, including the violence and tragedy she witnessed during the 1990s in her country. His work is a unique blend of the past and the future, using the medium of printmaking to create pieces that evoke memories of the 20th century, while incorporating innovative technology like augmented reality.
She is the only Latina woman to work in the prestigious Joan Barbará workshop in Barcelona, where artists such as Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies have worked before her. Juliana Plexxo’s technique is not only limited to her exceptional engraving skills, but also includes the destruction of the copper plate she uses for each piece, making each piece of art unique. This innovative approach, combined with her mastery of printmaking, has established her as a leading force in the art world. His work is in constant evolution and his daily artistic journey is not monotonous, but spiritually free, where compositions find balance and coherence and are constantly nourished by new technologies such as augmented reality.

Juliana is also the first Colombian plastic artist nominated for “Best Young Talent” by the University of California Berkeley and is one of the 50 most creative people listed by Forbes, along with Fernando Botero. His collaboration with ARTIVIVE, the same technology used by the Belvedere Museum in Austria for Klimt’s augmented reality works, adds a modern touch to his work.
