UNLOCK + ETH VOLCANO

Unlock Summit 2024 will, for the first time, feature a week of significant activities focused on Innovation. We decided to create these spaces due to the critical moment we are experiencing, the acceleration of the digital age, and the wave of new technologies.

UNLOCK has successfully brought together communities from different parts of Mexico and the world, technologies, and projects.

Therefore, we are starting our activities on May 23, 2024, one day before the Summit , with a Web 3 Side Event. This special event is in collaboration with one of the most influential communities in the ecosystem, who will bring us a unique event from El Salvador at DELUZ, a magical place located in Cholula, Puebla. DELUZ is situated just 33 meters from the Cholula Pyramid and offers a majestic view of the Popocatépetl Volcano.

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN PUEBLA?

Puebla is becoming one of the most important states inc Mexico when it comes to Innovation.

We recall that here are located some of the best universities in Mexico.

Speaking of the Web 3 Ecosystem, there are about 6 communities building projects on different chains, hosting meetups, and proudly to say that in early February 2024, the largest Hackathon in Mexico focused on university students who tried Blockchain technologies for the first time was achieved. This event gathered around 700 participants and more than 30 communities from various parts of Mexico and the world.

Side Events are complementary events to the main event, aimed at offering more specialized content focused on specific themes.

Moreover, Side Events help to enrich the overall programming of the main event by offering a diversity of contents and perspectives. This encourages the active participation of attendees and ensures that there are interesting options for all profiles and levels of experience.

ETH VOLCANO

The ETH Volcano community will bring its magic and, together with us, create an environment full of presentations and activities to achieve a day full of opportunities to learn more about blockchain technologies, projects, and communities. Connect with people from different communities, network, enjoy dynamic activities, savor the food, drinks, and much more.

It will be the first International Side Event; from El Salvador to Puebla, and nothing is coincidental, both places are known for their majestic volcanoes which we believe are connected. For those who may not know, on September 7, 2021, El Salvador became the first country to make Bitcoin legal, and on January 11, 2023, the Issuance of Digital Assets was regulated in El Salvador.

Our hosts, with more than 10 years in the ecosystem, will share closely how life is in a country that values innovation and will discuss the opportunities we have to build in El Salvador and replicate practices to make Mexico a significant country within the Web 3 Ecosystem.

STRUCTURE AND ACTIVITIES

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, we will kick off at 10 am with a welcome, presentations, dynamic activities, and space for networking. We will ensure that each speaker’s session is enriching and allows attendees to learn more about the technologies, projects, and communities building within the Web 3 ecosystem. The Side Event will conclude at 6 pm, followed by a time for socializing.

The variety of technologies, projects, and communities will make this event an extremely valuable learning experience. Every 20 minutes, we will make the talks more exciting and provide dynamic activities to ensure attendees have a better experience.

UNLOCK + BARROCO

And as if that weren’t enough, we have decided to extend additional activities to UNLOCK Summit 2024 . With two days full of activities at the venue, the Web3 communities will also enjoy the Baroque, the immersive experience, and the NFT exhibition by Nox Gallery.

Participants will also have access to the Workshops that will be organized by the same Web 3 communities. The format of the Workshops will be more extensive, ranging from 40 minutes to 2 hours as needed, depending on the topic.

On both May 24th and May 25th, starting at noon, we will have around 4 to 6 Workshops each day. Access will be with the same registration as the Side Event. We will have a space within the Baroque to conduct the Workshops. It’s important to be punctual so as not to miss any!
